15 Ideas for Summer

I teach at LDS Business College, it is a wonderful blessing in my life to be part of that organization. Below is one of those reasons, the opportunity to be uplifted and better myself.
This is just a personal note for me, but the one that stood out to me was to "Live after the 'manner of happiness.'" (See 2 Nephi 5:6-10) I need to focus more on those things that really matter and not the insignificant tiny details I tend to get caught up in. Anyway I hope someone else was uplifted by this as I was.

Trip to Upstate New York - May 2011

My whole family went to upstate New York to see my oldest brother graduate from the University of Rochester with his PhD, yeah he is pretty smart. We had a wonderful time and were able to make incredible memories together!

Proud to be an American

I love America, I love being an American and I am proud to be one. Unlike many it seems, I have always been proud to be an American and I doubt a day will come when I am not. Words cannot express how I feel about this country, how grateful I am for the many sacrifices that have been made by many men and women for this blessed land we live in. I saw this video this morning and really like it so I'll share.

‎"Freedom has its life in the hearts, the actions, the spirit of men and so it must be daily earned and refreshed - else like a flower cut from its life-giving roots, it will wither and die." - Dwight D. Eisenhower
